How Utah Home & Garden Reps Assist with UtahBidScopes

Our certified UHAG representatives guide Utah homeowners through every step of the BidScope process.

You Don't Have to Do This Alone

The UtahBidScopes system is user-friendly — but navigating a home improvement project is still stressful. UHAG trains local representatives who specialize in the BidScope process.

UHAG reps are not contractors. They don’t do the work — they help you manage the process of finding, vetting, and hiring the right contractor at the right price.

What a UHAG Rep Does for You

📋 Step 1: Project Assessment

Your UHAG rep meets with you to understand your project, budget, timeline, and priorities — and identifies the right BidScope category for your needs.

📄 Step 2: BidScope Selection

Your rep walks you through the BidScope document, explains each section, and helps you fill in project-specific details so the scope is ready to send to contractors.

🔎 Step 3: Contractor Sourcing

Your rep helps identify 3–5 licensed, vetted Utah contractors, verifying current license status through the Utah DOPL and confirming insurance certificates.

📊 Step 4: Bid Distribution

Your rep sends the BidScope to each contractor and manages responses — following up to ensure bids are returned on time and in the correct format.

⚖️ Step 5: Bid Analysis

Your UHAG rep prepares a side-by-side comparison — price, timeline, warranty, material specs, and deviations — in plain English so you can decide with confidence.

🤝 Step 6: Contract Review

Before you sign, your rep reviews the final contract to confirm it aligns with the winning bid, includes warranty terms, and matches the BidScope scope. (Not legal advice.)
